What is the most secure type of fencing?

For most high-security applications, 358 anti-climb welded mesh or steel palisade are the strongest options. 358 mesh uses a tight aperture that gives no finger or toe holds and resists bolt-cutters, while palisade presents a tall, difficult-to-scale steel face. The best choice depends on your threat profile, required sightlines and budget, for the highest-risk sites we combine mesh with electric detection and anti-tamper fixings. High-security perimeters are typically 2.4m or higher, often with an angled extension or barbed/razor topping to defeat climbing. Schools and public buildings may use lower heights where the priority is controlled access rather than intruder resistance. Height is only one factor, aperture, gauge, topping, fixings and ground detailing all determine real-world security, and we specify these together.
